The Home Affairs Ministry gave award to Jakarta Provincial Government for the Special Fiscal Regional Government Total Performance category during the 2024 Regional Government Performance Appreciation (AKPD) event.

During his speech, Home Affairs Minister, Tito Karnavian thanked Tempo and BRIN who have worked hard in this appreciation assessment by dividing the regions according to their fiscal criteria to give fair results.

"We will provide similar event again. So please for regions that have not received appreciation to be motivated and be competitive," he said, Thursday (12/12).

Meanwhile, Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi stated the award given will become motivation to gain better performance both in terms of competitiveness, social welfare and others.

"We are grateful with the award . Moreover, Jakarta is being upgraded into a global city since the capital city is moved to IKN," he stated.

Teguh added that it is hoped that the Jakarta Provincial Government can implement various best programs in realizing Jakarta as a center of economic growth, service center, governance, and innovation center with Jakarta's special fiscal or bigger budget compared to other regions.

"We want the community and civil apparatus to prepare Jakarta as a global city. Then to welcom the five centuries of Jakarta in 2027 as well as support the Golden Indonesia in 2045," he stated.

AKPD 2024 involved competent judges, including Deputy Chairman of the Ombudsman Bobby Hamzar Rafinus; Principal Researcher of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Siti Zuhro; President Director of Tempo Media Group, Arif Zulkifli; and Acting Director of Performance Evaluation and Regional Capacity Improvement of the Directorate General of Regional Autonomy, Ministry of Home Affairs, Imelda.
